WELCOME TO NOVUM - THANK YOU FOR VISITING US ONLINE!

The Center for Reproductive Medicine and Infertility novum has been a resource for thousands of couples hoping to have a baby. Our medical professionals are internationally appreciated for their unparalleled experience in all areas of reproductive medicine. In addition, novum is within one of the world`s biggest IVF-centers.

novum is located in the city of Essen, the heart of Ruhr Area . Our comfortable, state-of-the-art medical facility is a convenient destination for couples from Germany. We are also near several major airports, making us easy to reach from locations throughout Europe. Led by Prof. Thomas Katzorke, M.D., a pioneer in the field of reproductive endocrinology and infertility in Germany, novum offers a hands-on Team Approach to patient care that brings together all of the services that couples may need. Because infertility can affect couples in many ways, novum also offers patients specialized support programs and educational resources designed to help them better understand their treatment every step of the way.

How will we work with your Doctor?
As a team of specialists devoted to helping patients with infertility, we work closely with your primary care physician and obstetrician. With your permission, we will send a complete report to your physician detailing the types of tests and procedures we performed. When patients become pregnant, we refer them back to their obstetrician or family practice physician for ongoing prenatal care. Our practice does not provide obstetrical care.

How can you make an appointment?
To make an appointment, please call 0049 - 201 29429-0. We are available to see patients Monday through Friday and we also reserve weekend and select evening appointments for specific treatments and time sensitive tests.

What can you expect during your first visit?
During your first visit, we generally conduct a consultation and physical exam, and answer any questions you may have. If you prefer, you may schedule a consultation only. First visits last approximatelyt 60-75 minutes. We do ask that you arrive 15 minutes early for your first appointment so that we may complete the necessary forms for your records. We make every effort to remain on schedule and to not keep you waiting. In order to do so, we kindly ask the same consideration from you.

    What is our billing policy?
Payment is expected at the time of service. If you have questions regarding our insurnace participation, please contact our office.

    Will IVF work for us?
IVF and other assited reproductive technologies provide many couples with the opportunity to get pregnant that otherwise wouldn`t be able to have children on their own. During your consultation with the doctors, they will be able to discuss your own set of unique circumstances and give you a realistic expectation as to your individual chance for success.
